Lovejoy has established a wholly owned subsidiary company with warehouse and manufacturing unit in Alkmaar, The Netherlands From this location, approximately 51km northwest of Amsterdam, Lovejoy Europe will provide the company's European customers with improved product inventory, manufacturing and modification, and technical support via its network of European distributors

Heading the new operation as Manager Lovejoy Europe, Barry Vowles joins Lovejoy after 30 years of experience in coupling design and development, sales and product management for Flexibox (now John Crane).

Announcing the new initiative, Lovejoy President/CEO Mike Hennessy said: "If we're going to help our distributors and customers throughout Europe satisfy an increasing interest in Lovejoy products, we cannot let an ocean stand between us.

Having European-standard inventory readily available on the Continent and offering European-based customer support services are both essential to our success in this key market".

Based in a 2000m2 facility, Lovejoy Europe primarily stocks curved jaw, torsional, disc and gear couplings compatible with European standards, plus straight jaw, S-flex (rubber in-shear), grid and other Lovejoy couplings often specified for machinery built for the world's export markets.
