Vakis takes on brewing and drinks
Project management specialist Lorien Engineering Solutions has appointed John Vakis in charge of sales and account development for the business's brewing and drinks operations.
Project management specialist Lorien Engineering Solutions has appointed John Vakis in charge of sales and account development for the business's brewing and drinks operations The Lichfield-based engineering consultancy's clients include major breweries such as Scottish Courage and Coors (formerly Bass Brewers)
Vakis, 53, who has been with the company for 15 years, was formerly Engineering Manager Packaging and will retain his packaging role.
Vakis, who is an MBA, was a senior contracts engineer engaged in turnkey food and drinks projects in the UK and overseas before joining Lorien Engineering Solutions in 1987.
Since then he has been responsible for the management of in-house personnel and outside contractors for capital projects in the food and drink sectors.
