Kagara Zinc in Australia chose the LPP40 for its Mt Garnet zinc concentrator.

Kagara Zinc in Australia chose the LPP40 for its Mt Garnet zinc concentrator.

The LPP operates as a thickener underflow pump, delivering lead slurry to a filter feeding tank.

The thickener underflow flow rate is 2.2m3/h and the slurry has a specific gravity of 2-3.

Output is regulated by the inverter controlled LPP ensuring the optimal operation of the thickener.

The LPP replaced another hose pump model when the thickener was upgraded.

The LPP allows inline installation, where the suction line can be significantly shorter, preventing sanding of the heavy lead slurry in the pipe line.

Thanks to the unique, low friction operating principles of the LPP, at low speed the variable-speed pump motor does not trip, like conventional hose pumps can do.

This ensures reliability and offers maximum control of the thickener delivering a stable density output.
