Pump eases poly glycol addition to cement

A Larox Flowsys product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 5, 2008

The Larox LPP-D15 has been chosen for pumping poly glycol in cement making, where reliability and accurate dosing is required.

Poly glycol is added to the cement prior to the final grinding circuit.

A VFD is used to control the pump flow to the circuit to adjust grinding aid dosage.

The LPP-D pump has a high turndown ratio, making it suitable for dosing in all process conditions.

Finite control provides proper dosing to the system.

As the pump is operating with a high-viscosity medium, grinding aids such as glycol, amines and acetic acid help cement particles to flow efficiently, which reduces grinding energy and results in increased product throughput.
