LPP pumps reduce waste and energy usage

A Larox Flowsys product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 29, 2009

Larox has introduced the LPP pumps, which feature low energy consumption and a long life cycle.

Because of the rolling hose contact of the LPP pumps, no excess friction is generated, resulting in lower heat loss and lower energy consumption.

The LPP pump can produce the same flow as conventional hose pumps, but with a smaller motor selection.

This feature exists because in typical operating conditions, the temperature in LPP pumps does not rise above 40 degrees and the pump can therefore be used with continuous rates.

Because of the generated friction, conventional hose pumps often overheat and so can only be used intermittently.

In LPP pumps, hose compression takes place only once during 360 operating cycles.

This practically doubles the lifetime of the LPP hose.

The rolling design means the hose contact is gentle and less wear and friction occur, resulting in longer hose life.

As LPP pumps cause only a small amount of friction, their lubricant requirement is about one fifth of the lubricant needed by conventional hose pumps.
