Litre Meter has supplied two VFF MF15 and four VFFLF10 rotary piston meters to Italian contractor Bennelli Ravenna as part of the BP Clair project.

Litre Meter has supplied two VFF MF15 and four VFFLF10 rotary piston meters to Italian contractor Bennelli Ravenna as part of the BP Clair project The VFF series meter has been in use since 1989 for a number of UK offshore chemical injection applications where they are specified for their capabilities in measuring low flow and high pressure

Applications for flow rates as low as 0.0004 litre/min (0.5 litre/d on high viscosity fluid) and 1.2 litre/d on 11cSt have been metered within the offshore oil industry.

These ATEX approved meters exhibit exceptional rangeability with a turndown of 3000:1 for just moderately viscous engine oil and 500:1 for 11cSt.

The rotor size determines the meter flow range.

The smallest standard stock size offers 0 to 0.25 litre/min and the largest up to 45 litre/min.

For the BP Clair project pressure was 110bar, but ratings of 345, 690, 1380 up to 2000bar can be specified.

Meter bodies are produced at Litre Meter's manufacturing facility in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and fabricated in 316 stainless steel offering good chemical and environmental resistance.

There is also the option for manufacture in other materials such as duplex.

Standard digital display is top mounted and battery operated with a 4-20mA loop version available.

Litre Meter has recently established agents in Brazil and Norway to supply their VFF series to meet the increase in demand for low-flow/high-pressure metering capabilities.
