Litre Meter has recently supplied eight of its VFF rotary piston positive displacement meters to the Chevron Neftegas EPC3 Orlan Platform on Sakhalin Island, Russia The meters were originally specified by Tri Ocean Engineering and FIAS consultants for low flow service on corrosion inhibitor

The corrosion inhibitor required measuring from 0 to 25l/hr with a maximum viscosity of 285cPs at the minimum operating temperature of -45C and the flow meter modules were designed to sit on top of wafers for mounting between 2-inch ANSI 2500 RTJ flanges.

Each VFF/LF15/SS/345bar flow meter provided a pulse output to an indicator mounted in an EExd enclosure provided by JCE Group.

These EExd enclosures are to be mounted in a Zone 1 hazardous area close to the flow meters to allow local reading of the flow rate and accumulated total.

Each EExd enclosure also contains barriers to isolate the meters.

Litre Meter is presently biding on over GBP1million pounds worth of oil and gas tenders worldwide using the unique low flow measuring capability of the VFF flow meter.
