Upgraded technology handles larger 3D models
Upgraded XVL technology delivers top-performance products for 3D publishing, 3D datacommunication and sharing, and also delivers super-fast 3D model viewing and data handling for large assemblies.
Plug-in allows easy 3D conversion
The XVL Convertor plug-in for Inventor allows users to convert 3D data created in the latest version of Autodesk Inventor into XVL for downstream uses.
3D software handles highly compressed files
XVL-compressed 3D models are lightweight enough to be easily emailed, so suppliers, partners and customers can participate in discussions about the details of components and assemblies.
The new system employs XVL compression on the company's existing 3D CAD files, enabling the viewing and annotation of 3D data throughout the post-design and manufacturing operations.
"The Lattice3D technology allows 3D data to be taken directly from engineering then converted and compressed into XVL and used via the Lattice3D applications for concise and precise communication internally and with customers", explained Ruben Guardado, Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Alps Automotive.
The lightweight, loss-less XVL format enables immediate distribution of very light but complex 3D models throughout all Alps offices, factories, and logistic centres internationally and thereby supports streamlined business processes.
Alps Automotive joins other automotive manufacturers, such as Toyota and MAN Nutzfahrzeuge which have made major commitments to an organisation-wide implementation of XVL.
"Lattice3D is delighted to supply and support Alps Automotive and to see yet another prominent automotive supplier adopt the XVL technology", said Jiro Suzuki, COO of Lattice3D.
"XVL has proven itself a very vital solution to create a higher-quality, more efficient post-design process to manufacturers". Request a free brochure from Lattice Technology ...
