Lockheed Martin adopts XVL software

A Lattice Technology product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 12, 2008

Lattice Technology, a developer of digital manufacturing applications using the XVL format, has announced that Lockheed Martin has adopted XVL into its Visual Product Model initiative.

Lattice Technology provides software for the creation and management of usable, intelligent 3D content throughout the manufacturing enterprise.

The compression of Lattice Technology's XVL format allows even the largest and most complex assemblies to be used throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

Lattice Technology's digital manufacturing applications directly use XVL data for manufacturers to perform design review, digital assembly, manufacturing process instructions and simulation, technical illustration, customer service, marketing, sales, quality control, product development and supply chain instructions.

Lockheed Martin sought out Lattice Technology's XVL solutions in order to provide a lightweight, robust 3D platform for integration with its Visual Product Model initiative.
