A Lattice Technology product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 19, 2009

Lattice Technology has released Chapter 13 of the new book, 'Improving Lean Manufacturing Through 3D Data', by Dr Hiroshi Toriya.

First published in Japan in late 2008, this book is targeted at manufacturing executives and educators trying to build greater productivity and efficiencies into existing manufacturing processes.

The book covers a range of case studies from Japanese manufacturers, along with recent survey data, to build an understanding of how manufacturing can be enhanced using 3D data in downstream processes.

It also explains the evolution of 3D and IT in the industry and shows how it can be leveraged into other areas of manufacturing that are still using traditional processes.

Chapter 13, the final chapter, delivers insights into the critical keys and steps needed to successfully implement 3D processes into the entire manufacturing process.

Based on previous chapters that covered companies in detail as they progressed with 3D, readers can now understand commonly successful strategies and tactics and can plan out how 3D can be introduced into their own operations.

This latest book is available free and exclusively from Lattice Technology and two chapters per month have been released to registered recipients.

The book features 13 chapters, which include case studies on manufacturers including Toyota, Brother Industries, Niigata Power Systems and Alpine Precision.
