Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 9, 2006

An interactive educational web seminar on "Advancements in temperature measurement" will feature NATO recognised expert Chuck Schietinger.

LumaSense Technologies will host an interactive educational web seminar "Advancements in temperature measurement", featuring NATO recognised expert Chuck Schietinger on Tuesday 14th November at 1900 GMT.

The webcast will focus on how accurate temperature measurement leads to increased productivity and reliability, maximum product life and decreased costs - especially in harsh environments.

Participants can stay at their desks while joining their peers.

Chuck Schietinger, an expert in temperature measurement and emissivity with 26 years experience as an experimental physicist designing temperature measurement and control solutions, will also answer questions during the interactive question and answer period.

Topics covered will include choosing the best measurement solution for your application.

Schietinger, who has lectured at MIT, NJIT, OGI, Stanford, the University of Stuttgart, and been involved with NASA's Space Plane and the International Space Station Crystal Growth project, will explain how to achieve accurate temperature technology in harsh environments that face interference from: radio frequency, microwave, magnetics and high voltage.
