Fibre optics course targets aerospace
users

This year's Altair Technology Conference will take place on 2nd November at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon.
John Colton of Lucid, who has developed the course along with Andy Voisey of AV Optics, says : "our partnering with Andy to develop this course has ensured that trainees will benefit from both AV Optics' specialist knowledge of the aerospace industry and Lucid's proven track record in fibre optics training".
This course covers advice on best practice for termination, installation, maintenance and repair of fibre and testing, fault-finding and characterisation of fibre.
The course is aimed at both the commercial and military aerospace markets.
Airframe manufacturers, installers, airlines, component and harness suppliers and project managers would all benefit from attending.
The course is also relevant to anybody with an interest in the benefits and limitations of fibre optics in the aerospace industry.
Public courses open to individual bookings will be held at Lucid Training Centre, Garsdale, near Sedbergh, in Cumbria.
The first course is scheduled for 20th-21st June 2007, with repeat events planned for November 2007 and February 2008.
