With 400Hz products designed specifically for the avionics market Magnus Power has recently been commissioned to design and install a comprehensive package of 28 DC units and 150 kVA 400Hz units for RAF Benson's new Aircraft Distribution Point.

When faced with taking delivery of the Merlin helicopter, the RAF found that it was necessary to upgrade its existing hangar facilities.

Magnus Power was approached to supply the required equipment and apparatus, which powers the helicopters and is no larger than a typical fridge freezer.

It is all now in situ and fully operational.

Founded in 1985, Magnus Power's main business is the design and manufacture of AC powered frequency converters.

Initially providing high quality power supplies to the offshore industry the company has witnessed rapid growth and now enjoys an extremely diverse client base.
