Pneumatic valves are smaller and lighter

A new pneumatic valve series for low-flow electronics and handling applications addresses the challenges posed by ongoing miniaturisation of control systems.

A new pneumatic valve series from Bosch Rexroth for low-flow electronics and handling applications addresses the challenges posed by ongoing miniaturisation of control systems Rexroth has based its compact, innovative LS04 Series on extensive experience and leadership in materials technology

Constructed using filigree plastic technology, and with an integrated pilot cartridge, the valves and valve terminal systems in the series are only 10.8mm wide, and so light that they can be mounted directly onto sensitive machine parts.

Their sealing system is the same as that used in Rexroth's proven HF04 system, assuring high precision and functional reliability.

A reduced component count contributes to an attractive price/performance ratio.

There are three models in the LS04 family.

The XS inline single valve, designed on "lean" principles for optimum functionality and performance per square millimetre, covers the most common functions as a 5/2 SR valve for flows up to 200 litre/min.

With push-in connectors for 4mm diameter hose, it can be operated with oiled or oil-free compressed air, and features simple electrical connection via standard or M8 connectors.

The XS weight only 30g.

The AF inline single valve offers the entire range of pneumatic functions and handles flows up to 330 litre/min, weighing in at 51g.

Functionality includes 2x3/2 NC-NC, NO-NO and NO-NC, as well as 5/2 SR, 5/2 DS and 5/3 CC.

The AF features push-in connectors for 4mm and 6mm diameter hose.

The VTS LS04 is a modular valve terminal system offering the same pneumatic functionality as the AF for flows up to 320 litre/min.

A valve depth of only 45mm allows for valve assemblies of extremely low height.

For space efficiency and flexibility, the design is based on the plate principle, and the 25-pin D-sub connector can be rotated through 90 degrees.

The multipin connection can be used to control up to 24 coils.

Mixed configurations of mono- and bistable functions can be implemented, as well as various pressure zones or supply circuits.

Valves can be quickly exchanged without interfering with the electrical linking, and there is an option to retrofit a two-slot extension.

Protection class for LS04 variants depends on the choice of electrical connections, up to IP65 for single valves and IP50 for the VTS. Request a free brochure from Bosch Rexroth - Pneumatics ...
