Maxon Motor's precision drives have demonstrated their suitability for use in medical applications by achieving the industry's ISO 13485 quality standard.
Maxon offers drives and gearheads that can be fully sterilised.
The Maxon Medical business unit supplies high-precision microdrives for use in diagnostics, therapy, surgery, prosthetics, laboratory technology, dental technology and pharmaceuticals.
The units are used in technology that requires high performance and absolute reliability in a small spaces, including infusion pumps, endoscopes and dialysis machines, as well as new-generation hand tools for bone surgery and dentistry.
The new ISO accreditation ensures all procedures are fully documented to guarantee traceability.
