Majestic Electronics, UK agents for the Swiss Electronics Company Micronor, have launched 23 new encoder types, including, hazardous area, high temperature and 25 Bit absolute encoders.

Majestic Electronics, UK agents for the Swiss electronics company Micronor, have launched 23 new encoder types, including, hazardous area, high temperature and 25 Bit absolute encoders These encoders come with Electronic ageing compensation, this means that even after 5 years of operation, there is the correct 90øphase shift of signals

A frequent cause of encoder failure, or premature replacement has therefore been eliminated.

Of special interest to the oil and gas process industries will be the range of incremental and absolute encoders, built to EEx IIC T6 approval classification, for Zone 1 and 2 operation.

Shaft and hollow shaft models are available, with pulse counts of 10 to 5,000 p.p.r., or a resolution of 10,12, or 13 bit, with RS422, SSI/RS485 or push-pull outputs available.

They are of rugged construction, for heavy-duty industrial usage, the encoders are of compact design, but only 70 mm in diameter.

This makes them one of the smallest encoders of their type on the market, a considerable advantage to design engineers working with smaller and smaller areas into which to install equipment.
