Digital axis controller has NC
functionality
Rexroth's latest HNC100 2X series digital axis controller is a freely programmable, fieldbus-capable NC control assembly for both hydraulic and electrical drives.
Rexroth's latest HNC100 2X series digital axis controller is a freely programmable, fieldbus-capable NC control assembly for both hydraulic and electrical drives It features the only intelligent control electronics worldwide, which can not only communicate with all common fieldbuses, including Profibus DP, Interbus and CANopen, but is also available with a Sercos interface, the international communications standard for electric drives

Rexroth launches Indradrive Mi
Rexroth has announced the launch of the Indradrive Mi with a new kind of build concept.
With its stable interior construction and tough, cast aluminium housing, the HNC100 is designed for use in harsh industrial environments, thanks to its immunity to interference, resistance to mechanical vibration and shock, and proof against climate variables within the 0 to 50C range.
It also conforms to relevant EU directives regarding CE marking.
Typical fields of application include machine tools, materials handling, plastics processing, foundry and rolling mill units, presses and woodworking machines.

Controller puts program flows on the record
The new generation of the high-performance CNC IndraMotion MTX from Rexroth is equipped with an intelligent tool for cycle time analysis.
As a decentralised controller assembly, the HNC100 can assume the closed-loop control of position, velocity, pressure and the synchronisation of two axes, as well as alternating position/pressure control.
High performance open-end closed loop control algorithms for both electrohydraulic and electromechanical drives are integrated into the HNC100, for optimum execution of tasks.
Users can define the motion sequence of the axes using freely programmable NC commands, based on the industry standard DIN66025 programming language.
The HNC100 is configured easily on a PC running Rexroth's Windows-compatible WIN-PED software program, its integrated online information allowing the user to access context-related help data and complete product documentation.
The NC programs are then loaded onto the digital controller via a serial interface and stored there in Flash.
Quick on-site changing of data is also possible with the optional BB3 handheld control device or BFI control panel.
The HNC100 offers a choice of 8, 16 or 24 digital inputs and outputs for process connection; and each unit features a local CANbus as standard, which can be used to link several HNC100s for general data exchange or implementing synchronisation controls.
The system can also communicate with higher-level PLC controls via standard fieldbus systems or, uniquely, the Sercos interface.
These connections make it possible to develop cost-effective, modular decentralised automation layouts, with all the necessary data transparency.
Supplied in a housing for wall mounting or installing in a Euro standard rack, Rexroth's HNC100 is backed by an online support service, which allows the user to upgrade the WIN-PED software at any time and acquire information on Rexroth firmware for specific applications.
