Low-cost tester for noise and vibration

A M+P International product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 5, 2007

The compact SO Analyzer equipped with a four-channel USB powered dynamic acquisition module is perfectly suited for versatile portable noise and vibration measurements.

Measuring actual vibration levels encountered by every day product use in field conditions is essential for environmental test tailoring and hence cost engineered lab testing.

M+P International's new integrated solution provides everything necessary for this process.

The compact SO Analyzer equipped with a four-channel USB powered dynamic acquisition module is perfectly suited for versatile portable noise and vibration measurements.

With 25kHz bandwidth, 24bit resolution and a wide dynamic range the SO Analyzer offers very high precision on four channels and upwards and provides all the functionality needed for a daily test job at a surprisingly low price.

Measurements have never been so easy: load the SO Analyzer software, connect the USB cable between the acquisition module and the host PC/laptop and start measurement using IEPE (ICP) sensors powered directly from the USB front-end.

The vibration data measured in the field can be directly imported into M+P International's VibControl shaker control systems for environmental test tailoring.

Tailor-made environmental tests guarantee that the components are sufficiently tested, but not overtested.

Economical considerations play an important role in environmental simulation.

With the SO Analyzer, M+P International offers a cost-effective dynamic signal analyser, allowing users to measure the real environmental situations precisely, yet easily and to import the measured data into VibControl for qualification purposes.
