Now available with five different mounting options, the high performance range of CB mini ISO standard cube relays has been developed by Matsushita Electric Works in response to OEM and automotive systems manufacturers' demands for a high power, truly versatile automotive relay.

Available in 40A and 70A variants, the CB relay's versatility in application stems primarily from its five different mounting options, which include PCB, plug-in and bracket.

For extreme environments there are also shrouded and weatherproof types.

For further design flexibility, the CB is available in normally open (Form A) and changeover (Form C) contact arrangements, with a choice of sealed (IP67) or flux-resistant (IP54) protection.

There are also 12V DC and 24V DC nominal coil voltage options to provide even greater application versatility.

All versions offer the high shock-resistance necessary for reliable automotive and plant use.

The unique case moulding reduces the damaging internal component displacement usually caused by shock loadings.

This allows the relay to easily withstand the 2m drop test requirement.

Careful design and materials selection, combined with use of silver alloy contacts ensures that even under the harsh conditions typically associated with today's automotive environment, the CB has an impressively long electrical and mechanical life.

Capable of operation in a full spectrum of ambient temperatures (-40 to +85oC) the relay is suitable for both cab and under bonnet applications, including ABS, headlamp, heating, defogging and air-conditioning systems and also for motorcycle, agricultural and plant machinery use.
