Matsushita Electric Works' range of PLCs has been enhanced further with the addition of PCWay - an Excel based software utility that enables trouble-free data acquisition and manipulation.

This powerful software package acts as an interface between any Matsushita FP PLC and spreadsheet/document, enabling straightforward display, manipulation and permanent storage of production or process data.

PCWay can, for example, allow SCADA type functions to be performed at a fraction of the cost of dedicated packages.

In use, PCWay provides an easy operational environment that allows display of the PLC memory area in an Excel spreadsheet.

The user can then save the PLC data in file and later present or display the saved information.

The sheer ease of setting and manipulation of PLC programming data through this software system makes for considerable time saving and flexibility advantages.

In some applications, PCWay can act as a front-end machine function controller, making use of interactive data exchange between the PLC and a PC with remote data management via a modem.

The data from up to 64 PLCs can be handled simultaneously and there are a whole host of special functions available, as standard, which are unique to this software.
