Designed to increase the flexibility of the modular FP2 PLC, the FP2-HSC is a High-Speed Counter Module that is capable of capturing input signals with frequencies of up to 200kHz.

Designed to increase the flexibility of the modular FP2 PLC system from Matsushita Electric Works, the FP2-HSC is a High-Speed Counter Module that is capable of capturing input signals with frequencies of up to 200kHz.

In addition, the module can also be configured for interrupt processing, signal conditioning or general I/O.

Using one of its three input modes, the FP2-HSC can accept 4 channels of pulses from numerous types of encoder.

The module supports phase, orientation and individual input modes, enabling both motor speed and positioning applications to be realised.

Up to eight individual outputs on the module can be configured to provide real-time response.

Processing of up to eight interrupt programs contained within the FP2 CPU can be initiated by each unit.

Interrupt programs are executed whenever an associated input is energised and is not affected by the scan-time of the program.

This enables the programmer to prioritise individual parts of code to the application.

More about the Popular FP2 Series The FP2-HSC is just one of a wide range of expansion modules available from Matsushita Electrics Works.

The FP2 series efficiently covers a wide range of PLC applications and offers high performance in one of the smallest available footprints.

Depending upon the application, all expansion modules can be configured in any combination - for example digital and analogue signal processing.

In addition, a standard range of programming functions and systems ensures that the FP2 is compatible with all other PLCs in the Matsushita Electric Works range.
