A new relay with a miniature package and a universal footprint is ideal for applications such as home appliances, office machines and industrial equipment

The new LZ Relay from Matsushita Electric Works UK Limited has a miniature package measuring just 28.6mm (L) x 12.8mm (W) x 20.4mm (H) and a universal footprint.

The class B version has a maximum ambient temperature rating of 85 degrees Celsius and the class F version has a rating of 105 degrees Celsius.

This makes the LZ Relay ideal for applications such as home appliances (TV sets, microwave ovens), office machines (photocopiers, vending machines) and industrial equipment (robots, temperature controllers).

The LZ Relay is capable of switching up to 16 Amps and has a totally sealed construction.

Featuring high isolation from coil to contact, the LZ Relay can withstand up to a 10kV impulse surge.

The relay also has strong shock and vibration resistance.

All LZ Relay types have a maximum operating time of 15ms and a maximum release time of 5ms.

The mechanical service life of the relay is 5 million operations (min) and the electrical service life is 1 million operations (min) at full rated load.

Matsushita offers one of the most extensive product spectrums available for electromechanical and electronic relays - from the smallest semiconductor relays to rugged and compact industrial designs.

Switching capacity ranges from low-level signals on up to double digit Amperage loads.

Strictly adhered to production directives and advanced testing procedures assure a high standard of quality.
