The LH-50 Series of high precision measurement sensors is an LED based system that offers the same measurement performance as a Class 1 or 2 laser based system.

This eliminates any concerns about optical safety, which is one of the issues normally associated with laser based systems.

Applications vary considerably for such flexible units, but can be typically used where accurate measurement is required in an industrial environment.

For example, level difference between two surfaces and thickness measurement of a product.

The LH-50 system is configured using both a measurement head and a controller.

Three types of head in the series are available, each offering various degrees of measurement resolution ranging from 0.2 to 20um.

Each of the heads can be connected to three types of controller depending on the information required from the system.

The general purpose controller can accept a single laser head and gives both an analogue output and two independent digital outputs.

Two more high function controllers, one head and two head, are also available which offer the following features: 16 type memory storage, automatic response setting, thickness measurement using two heads and RS232C communications.
