The FP-PS4-050E is a new compact power supply from Matsushita Electric Works.

The FP-PS4-050E is a new compact power supply from Matsushita Electric Works.

Measuring just 115 x 42 x 75mm, the unit can reliably supply 2.1A of current at 24V DC from a 240V AC input.

The PSU has a peak-to-peak ripple voltage of less than 240mV, and short circuit, overvoltage and overload protection are all featured on the device.

With an input voltage range of 85 to 265V AC, the supply caters for all input variances and allows global use, with a list of approvals including CE, EN and UL/cUL.

The unit is extremely well packaged in an encapsulated housing with wiring connections being made through two reliable connectors on both the primary and secondary sides of the device.

Incorporated into the secondary stage is a Power OK output signal informing of the PSU status for use with intelligent devices, this is in addition to the Green LED indication for visual recognition of the devices status.

Designed and approved to operate reliably with MEW-UK's range of factory automation devices, the unit is immediately available and complements the extremely compact (90 x 30.4 x 60mm) 0.7A FP0 style PSU.
