The new DJ relay from Matsushita Electric Works is intended to be an essential building block for building automation applications.

The new DJ relay from Matsushita Electric Works is intended to be an essential building block for building automation applications.

The new relay is capable of controlling up to 16A at 250V AC with a maximum constant carry current of 20A.

With its compact construction the DJ relay is ideal for inclusion in applications such as timer switches, motor controls and integration into building installation bus systems.

The DJ relay is controlled by means of a single latching coil that only consumes 250mW solely during actuation, after this point the relay can be de-energised and it will remain in the last set state.

This latching feature is ideal for control bus applications as power consumption can be kept to a minimum, reducing the supply demands.

The DJ relay is available in both 1 Form A and 1 Form C contact configurations.

Both versions are available with a creepage and clearance distance of more than 8mm.
