The EQ-500 series is a new family of adjustable-range and fixed-focus reflective photoelectric sensors for applications where the target varies in colour, angle of presentation or size.

The EQ-500 series provides a reliable and accurate solution to sensing these difficult to detect objects.

Rated at IP67 the EQ-500 is multivoltage and will operate with any supply from 12 to 240V AC/DC.

Other benefits include a long sensing range of 0.2 to 2.5m and background suppression to eliminate triggering on objects that are outside the preset detection area.

The devices themselves automatically eliminate interference between adjacent sensors and the EQ-500 series is even able to produce consistent detection when the sensor's lens has become contaminated with dust or debris.

Typical applications include people detection for counting and for triggering actions like operating automatic doors.

In this case accurate sensing is guaranteed even for different coloured clothing or height variations.

The EQ-500 is available in two versions: standard or with a timer function that allows on/off delays to be set up to 5s.

Available accessories include a foot/back angled mounting bracket.
