New plug-in relay for power switching
The new HJ plug-in relay from Matsushita Electric Works provides a cost-effective solution for a broad spectrum of power-switching applications.
Relay gives impressive performance for its size
With a width of just 5mm the slim-line PA relay now switches an impressive 5A @ 250VAC (previously 3A @ 250VAC)
The system is automatically programmed, eliminating the need for PLC programming experience.
Matsushita is offering readers a free evaluation version of the software for a limited time.
Control Configurator MS automatically programs the PLC, based on user-entered data such as mobile phone numbers and message texts.
The user can configure up to four mobile phone numbers, eight PLC inputs and 16 messages, each up to 34 characters.
Furthermore, input signals can be filtered by defining a time delay before a message is sent, once an input has been received.
A message sent through the system can be sent to several mobile phones at the same time.
Should a sent message not be acknowledged by a recipient, the system sends the message to other listed mobile phones.
Control Configurator MS offers remote maintenance capabilities through text messages sent to the PLC to change phone numbers, assign new numbers and to set or reset up to eight outputs on the PLC.
The system enables the user to put the PLC in remote programming mode so that updates and modifications can be uploaded over the GSM network without the need to be directly connected to the PLC.
The system is ideal for supervising and controlling remote systems such weather stations, public facilities, waste water treatment sites, energy distributions sites, vending machines and all sites where technical systems need to be constantly monitored.
Control Configurator MS is shipped with a software installation CD and manual.
