Machine Building Systems has a versatile new range of anodised aluminium hinges from Item, designed to allow the user to fit doors to its extruded aluminium frames in as wide a variety of situations as possible.

The Hinges are available either pre-assembled, or as separate aluminium profiles which may be cut to any desired lengths.

Hinge pins are also provided, so the user can freely combine (for example) doors and outer frames made with different profile lines.

Using these parts, a continuous piano hinge can easily be made, making it easier to manufacture close fitting doors where visible gaps may be a problem.
