Aluminium extrusions protect hygiene

A Machine Building Systems product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 30, 2008

The T-slots of the Line-X extrusions are hidden and, like all Line-X profiles, they have tight corner radii, resulting in a smooth transition between frame members.

Aluminium extrusions available from Machine Building Systems provide new options for users of Item's MB Building Kit System.

The Line-X range, has been expanded with four variants of N profiles which feature fully enclosed grooves on one or more faces.

These plain-faced extrusions are particularly useful where ease of cleaning is important, since the T-slots are hidden and, like all Line-X profiles, they have tight corner radii, resulting in a smooth transition between frame members.

It is possible to remove the cover from the groove using either a screwdriver or tools also available from Machine Building Systems.

This provides access to the T-slot nuts beneath, allowing the fitting of additional components or frame fasteners.

The new profiles suit clean room applications, laboratory equipment and food applications.
