Marcus Pattison, one of the MCERTS organisers, reports delegate bookings are already 10% ahead of last year's record figures with more than a week still to go "In addition to large numbers of delegates from UK industry, local authorities, consultancies, laboratories and testing houses", he says, "we have also attracted visitors from as far afield as Hong Kong, Australia and the United States"

Doors will open at 0900 BST on Wednesday 12th October with the first workshop at 0945 and the first conference presentation at 1000.

The conference presentations will be repeated on the second day, as will many of the workshops, and an exhibition will run alongside the entire event.

Many new products will be on show, including the new Airpointer ambient air monitor from Air Monitors.

The system is billed as the world's smallest air quality station using "reference method" technology and state of the art communications using the internet via GPRS or ADSL connection.

Small enough to be mounted on a lamppost, wall or fence it can transmit high quality information back to an Internet browser anywhere in the world, from anywhere in the world.

The system will be running live on line at the Air Monitors stand.

Casella will have a new range of gas monitors on show, Protea will demonstrate the new 204M portable combustion gas analyser, and Signal will launch a new FID.
