Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 12, 2006

A low cost SMS (text message) alarm system provides global warning of plant failure.

Mendip Micro Systems has developed a low cost SMS (text message) alarm system specifically aimed at small packaged sewage pumping stations, treatment plants and other similar installations.

The unit incorporates an advanced, high performance GSM module and has a built in 48 hour battery reserve.

Available preprogrammed, requiring only the alarm dial out numbers to be set by sending the unit one text message from any mobile, it can also be used for many industrial, commercial and domestic applications.

No matter where you are in the world you can be alerted within seconds if your plant malfunctions.
