The KB dosing unit is a solution for water and effluent treatment applications which require safe and secure self-contained storage and dosing systems, even when situated in remote sites

Certain water and effluent treatment applications require self-contained storage and dosing systems which are both safe and secure, even when situated in remote or exposed outdoor sites.

The KB dosing unit, designed and manufactured by fluids handling specialists Michael Smith Engineers, is one example of a range of self-contained systems which provide an ideal solution for these situations.

The KB dosing unit consists of a storage tank, control panel, dosing pump, along with all associated pipework.

This is all mounted within a GRP / PVC combined kiosk and bund system, secured by a lockable lid to prevent unauthorised access.

Ducts through the base of the unit means cables and hoses can run unexposed to the injection point and power supply, particularly important at exposed sites.

The combined kiosk and bund are sized to hold 110% of the capacity of the storage tank so that spillage is contained.

This ensures that dosing can continue, even in the unlikely event of tank leakage.

The compact and robust design of the KB unit ensures a self-contained unit which is both simple to transport, install and set-up on-site with limited 'civils' requirements, so it is an excellent emergency back-up or temporary dosing unit.

The units are assembled and tested in Michael Smith's workshops before shipment, so installation time on-site is further minimised.

Michael Smith Engineer's considerable experience in the design and manufacture of custom-built systems is part of a complete package including full on-site service, installation, commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting.

The KB unit is suitable for a wide range of water and effluent treatment applications including septicity prevention, phosphate removal and coagulant addition for clarification / polishing.
