Engineering website redesigned
Those that work in engineering can now log onto the MEIRG website for details of training courses to help upgrade their existing skills.
MEIRG, the Midlands Engineering Redeployment group, has updated its website to make finding information on engineering in the region more accessible The MEIRG project is the first of its kind in the UK and was established in the midlands with three aims - to keep the midlands engineering sector skilled, to encourage more young people into the sector and to help engineers that are facing redundancy

If they feel their employees would benefit from training MEIRG can source bespoke courses for their company to help build their business making them better able to compete in both the UK and Europe market.
Organisations looking to expand their workforce can also use MEIRG's online C-Web facility to advertise current vacancies to help retain the midlands engineering skills base.
It has the capability of matching organisations to those looking for employment to help keep down costs on recruitment.
Engineers that register themselves can do so confidentially, and take also take advantage of the job search facility.
MEIRG also has ERIC, a mobile vehicle which can attend schools and colleges that would like their pupils to find out more about engineering.
It incorporates hands-on projects that can be tailored to the student's ages and educational needs.
An online diary on the website allows educational establishments to see when ERIC is free.
Companies that are facing changes, such as redundancies, can also get help and advice online.
ERIC can be hired to go on-site to help with CV writing and interviewing techniques.
