The new series of Thomson Airpax digital linear actuators is now available from Mclennan Servo Supplies, ideal for precise linear positioning of small loads over their 24mm travel

The new series of Thomson Airpax digital linear actuators is now available from Mclennan Servo Supplies.

There are twelve variants to choose from, offering step resolutions of 0.001", 0.002" or 0.004" with maximum linear thrust of 110N, 75N and 50N respectively.

There is a choice of 5V or 12V unipolar or bipolar windings.

They will be ideal for precise linear positioning of small loads over their 24mm travel.

Installation is easy and they are driven just like a normal instrument stepper motor with low-cost electronics.

In the event of a stall they are not damaged, even over long periods, which further simplifies applications since datum switches may not be required.
