Mclennan Servo Supplies has introduced a low-cost range of Brushless DC Servo motors.

The BLS23 and BLS34 series are NEMA size 23 and 34 motors featuring high-energy magnetic materials to derive high performance, yet are available at extremely competitive pricing since they are based on high-volume production stepper motor construction.

All of the motors have three phase construction, with conventional Hall-effect sensors for basic commutation.

Additionally a 2000 step/rev encoder has been incorporated to provide a positioning system with high-resolution feedback.

The encoder is housed in a robust enclosure, making the units suitable for demanding industrial applications.

Mclennan's existing range of spur and planetary gearheads may also be specified to provide optimum torque/speed characteristics for a given application.
