McLennan releases E192 and P205 DC gear motors

A McLennan Servo Supplies product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 21, 2009

McLennan Servo Supplies has brought out two new planetary brushed DC gear motors from Italian small-motor specialist Micro-Motors s.r.l.

The gear motors, the E192 and P205, are suitable for medium and high torque miniature power-transmission applications.

The E192 and P205 series feature low-backlash precision grade planetary gearboxes with dual bearing output shaft support for maximum life and load-carrying capacity.

The E192 returns 300Ncm maximum torque and the larger P205 is specified at 900Ncm.

Both series offer a range of gear ratios from 3.66:1 to 625:1.

The E192 has a nominal diameter of 40.5mm and lengths from 86 to 107mm while the P205 has a 42mm2 gearbox housing and lengths from 120.5 to 158mm.

Brushed DC drive motors fitted with interference-suppression electronics are available in 12 and 24V DC versions as standard.

They are equipped with rear-output shaft for an optional two-phase Hall-effect encoder, or alternative position sensors that McLennan can fit as part of its custom-design service.

Motor termination is via convenient spade terminals and encoders have connectors with flying leads for straightforward installation.

McLennan holds stock for fast delivery of popular reduction ratios through the range and can provide complete mechatronic solutions based around the E192 and P205 planetary gear motors, including drives, multi-axis motion controls and custom-designed mechanics with other power-train components.
