MCP Tooling Technologies is looking for engineers who want to know more about benchtop injection moulding and vacuum casting.

MCP Tooling Technologies is looking for engineers who want to know more about benchtop injection moulding and vacuum casting.

The company is holding individual one-day seminars on each of these technologies later this year and is ready to register delegates keen to find about more about the potential of both technologies.

MCP asks potential delegates to e-mail their name, company and contact details, using "seminars" in the subject line of the message.

Dates and a full programme for each seminar will then be forwarded enabling delegates to reserve a place at their preferred event.

Both seminars will take place at MCP's headquarters in Stone, Staffordshire.

Attendance is free of charge.

MCP leads the market in equipment and materials for vacuum casting, which is a fast and highly cost effective method of producing prototypes and short production runs of parts with the appearance and properties of most thermoplastics.

The seminar will cover basic vacuum casting, MCP's new nylon module which vacuum casts parts directly in nylon, SLM (select laser melting) technology for the production of 100% dense metal prototypes direct from CAD data, and tooling systems for the production of injection moulding tools in as little as three days.

Benchtop injection moulding will form the basis of the second seminar, which will have a particular appeal for designers and manufacturers of small precision engineered parts from 0.02 to 12g.

This seminar will cover the theory and practice of designing for and manufacturing with benchtop injection moulding machines.

Each MiniMolder in the MCP range will be put through its paces on the day demonstrating the most economical methods of producing highly accurate components in a wide range of materials.
