The Excelsior-505 platform is suitable for customers that need a reliable laser for DNA sequencing.

Newport Spectra-Physics' Lasers Division has released the newest members of its Excelsior product family The company has released a single-frequency laser at 505nm with available output power at 10 or 20mW

The Excelsior-505 platform is suitable for customers that need a reliable laser for DNA sequencing.

In addition, the company also released increased output power for the 100mW version of its Excelsior-405 laser, 75 and 100mW versions of the Excelsior-561 product and a 60mW version of the Excelsior-635 device.

"We are very excited to expand and enhance the company's successful Excelsior portfolio".

"The entire laser family has been designed to be the industry-leading solution for a wide range of exciting applications including flow cytometry, DNA sequencing micro-array readers, confocal microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, laser-induced fluorescence, interferometry, semiconductor inspection and metrology", said Jurgen Niederhofer, Product Manager for Spectra-Physics.

Spectra-Physics' innovative Excelsior laser platform includes low power continuous wave (CW) solid-state lasers at 375, 405, 440, 473, 488, 505, 532, 561, 635, 785 and 1064nm.

They are suitable for a variety of OEM applications because they provide superior optical beam quality, exceptionally low optical noise and high reliability.

Offering the smallest footprint in their class, the Excelsior lasers are standalone devices that are easy to use and operate.

An integrated active light loop guarantees that every Excelsior laser delivers high output power stability over a wide temperature range. Request a free brochure from Newport Spectra-Physics ...
