The S-2000AC with a 2,000lb (907kg) load capacity per isolator is suitable for isolating optical tables, large inspection equipment and heavy machinery and can also support large-area sub-floors in cleanrooms.

Its hybrid-chamber design maximises isolation bandwidth and stability, according to the company.

The precision levelling function improves repositioning after disturbance and the laminar flow damping minimises amplification at resonance.

Available in several heights ranging from 16in (41cm) to 28in, the new vibration isolator is equipped with precision pneumatic re-levelling valves and float-height indicators.

The S-2000AC also features Safelock mounting clips that secure the isolators to the bottom of any Newport optical table.

It provides a 1Hz vertical resonant frequency and a vertical isolation efficiency of 98 per cent at 10Hz.

Horizontal isolation begins at 2.5Hz and reaches 95 per cent efficiency at 10Hz.
