Metris has announced that its Italian C3 CMM operations will continue as an independent organisation.
Metris will continue to source its aluminium-based C3 range of CMMs from its spin-off, Coord3 Industries, which also becomes the exclusive reseller of Metris products for Italy.
Angelo Muscarella, chief executive officer of Coord3 Industries and former sales director of Metris Italy, takes over the Bruzolo operations from Metris to create an independent CMM company.
This company includes both the development and manufacturing of C3 CMMs, and the Italian sales and customer service team.
'The divestment of the Italian operations has no impact on our product portfolio,' said Bart Van Coppenolle, president and chief executive officer of Metris.
This deal has no impact on the MCA articulated arm operations in Villafranca, Italy.
