Micro Concepts has been accredited as one of only three Autodesk data management resellers in the UK.
Hard on the heels of its confirmation as Autodesk's top manufacturing reseller for 2004-05, specialist engineering solutions provider Micro Concepts has been accredited as one of only three Autodesk data management resellers in the UK.
As a result, it will be able to supply engineering manufacturing companies in the South of England with both Autodesk Inventor Series and Autodesk's new Productstream data management solution.
By linking design information with ERP systems and other business-wide processes, Productstream enables valuable design data to be made available to other departments, such as manufacturing, sales and purchasing.
"Productsteam software automates the release management process", confirms Micro Concepts Sales Manager, Mark Mills.
"By managing engineering changes and bills of materials".
"At the same time, it enables the engineering department to maintain full control over the design data".
Mills believes this to be an important development for Micro Concepts, "reflecting our well-established data management expertise with Autodesk".
"Critically, it also enables us to take our extensive manufacturing engineering design experience beyond the drawing office and across the broader business for the first time", he adds.
