Electrical design software proves popular

A Micro Concepts product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 8, 2006

Micro Concepts has been confirmed as the top Autodesk Electrical software reseller by turnover during 2005-06.

Following its success as leading Autodesk Manufacturing software reseller last year, Micro Concepts has been confirmed as the top Autodesk Electrical software reseller by turnover during 2005-06.

"This is a fantastic achievement by the Micro Concepts team", says Managing Director, Peter Hurst, "and reflects our recognition of the real value of the AutoCAD Electrical design software solution for engineering businesses since it was launched in 2004.

"By bringing a new level of automation and intelligence to electrical design, companies are able to produce drawings quicker, with far fewer errors and make them easily available to other parts of the business", he believes.

Recent Cambashi research has shown that some 85% of mechanical engineering businesses have some level of electrical design requirement.

"Our own experience fully supports this", confirms Hurst.

"Our growing AutoCAD Electrical customer base not only includes existing AutoCAD Mechanical and Inventor users, but also many other engineering companies for whom AutoCAD Electrical's open systems approach makes it easy to integrate with their existing design automation software", confirms Hurst.

For his part, Autodesk Manufacturing Solutions Division Channel Manager, Neil McArthur, believes that Micro Concepts' success "reinforces the importance of AutoCAD Electrical as a key part of our total manufacturing design automation solution".

Micro Concepts has recently supplied AutoCAD Electrical to Mercedes Benz, Michelin Tyres, AES Control Systems, Atlas Copco and Lockhead Martin Insys.
