The Autodesk solutions and training provider says that this year the software has gained momentum in the marketplace by becoming a serious player for companies with an electrical design requirement currently using AutoCAD for their electrical and schematic design work.
"This marks a great achievement for Micro Concepts and demonstrates that AutoCAD Electrical has really found its feet as a part of Autodesk's family of core AutoCAD-based products", says Mark Mills of Micro Concepts.
"Since its 2004 launch, AutoCAD Electrical has become our fastest-growing CAD product and a key part of our total manufacturing design automation solution".
According to Mills, the reasons for AutoCAD Electrical's increasing success include the fact that users are able to produce drawings quicker with far fewer errors and make them easily available to other parts of the business using Autodesk's DWG files rather than using a third-party software.
Recent applications include electrical controls of complete manufacturing plants, security systems, medical equipment, lighting and even the power generation systems on battleships.
"Micro Concepts drives this growth with its first-class customer service, support and training", he concludes.
