CAD Symbols is a novel software addon that provides all users of CAD packages with access to over 20 million CAD symbols or standard parts that will make design easier and more effective.
With nine categories of CAD symbols to choose from, the collection of symbols will be ideally suited to architects, builders, civil engineers, designers, mechanical and electrical engineers, plumbers and electricians, regardless of the CAD package being used or levels of expertise.
Although most CAD packages come with a selection of 2D symbols, these are often limited in number and won't cater for the high degree of complexity often required by today's CAD users.
Traditionally, where a CAD package lacks a required part, the designer would have the time consuming task of searching the net for something similar or creating the part from scratch.
Having selected the necessary part by industry, standard or category from a vast range of drawings and symbols as parametric 2D views and 3D revolving models, the user is then able to fine-tune the object using a selection of various drop-down menus.
Once the object has been redrawn to the exact specification it can be exported directly into the most popular CAD packages (AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, SolidEdge, SolidWorks and TurboCAD).
Alternatively, after selection it can be saved as one of the more popular exchange or standard formats (Jpeg, TIF, BMP, DXF, DWG and Iges).
CAD Symbols also supports industry standards enabling the user to search for pre-approved parts according to the country's official bodies including ANSI, ASME, ASTM, DAST, DIN, ISO and VDE.
