TurboCAD Professional v11 is the newest version of IMSI's flagship CAD product.

Avanquest UK has launched the newest version of IMSI's flagship CAD product TurboCAD Professional v11.

The latest version will bring a number of changes, new features and improvements to architects and mechanical engineers at great value.

The new version achieves innovative levels of power and performance with a new set of design tools that includes ACIS 14 Solid modelling Engine, D-Cubed's Constraint Engine, Region Extrude, Gradient Fills, Transparency, LightWorks 7.4 Photorealistic rendering engine from LightWork Design, giving users faster, more powerful design capabilities.

"TurboCAD Professional Version 11 combines the industry's best tools at an incredible price, a combination that is long overdue in the CAD industry", said Bob Mayer, EVP of Precision Design, IMSI.

"We have continued to build on the success of TurboCAD, achieved by offering high-end professional-level design tools at a value price".

"In version 11 we have added the latest DWG support and the latest modelling, rendering and design technologies", added Mayer.

"With over two dozen new features TurboCAD v11 continues to be a feature and price leader".

TurboCAD Professional version 11 adapts to the user's method of 2D and 3D design, allowing access to its design tools in all drawing modes, without having to switch back and forth.

With self-healing import of SAT and IGES files, the ability to create threaded bodies, NURBS to deform models in a more intuitive, predictable manner, seamless interoperability with improved Step and IGES filters and AutoCAD 2005 DXF and DWG compatibility, TurboCAD Professional satisfies your mechanical and engineering goals.

TurboCAD Professional version 11 features Lightworks 7.4 Rendering Engine with High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI) support.

The valuable application lets users match lighting with real-world backgrounds, allowing users to create computer-designed images with photorealistic precision.

Its dynamic range lets users compensate for extreme contrasts of lightness and darkness that are more like the human eye so that designs can be revealed with maximum realism and clarity.

Plus with the QuickTime VR "viewer" users can quickly "walk around" 3D models, making visualisation even simpler.

TurboCAD Pro's new brush style editor will help to take presentations to another level.

New bitmap fills lets users put a photo or other graphic element inside their design and new gradient fills to fade from light to dark along radial, linear, diamond or custom paths from one part of the drawing to another.

The addition of the colour transparency tool allows users to screen back the colour of an object in the foreground, in order to display or emphasise hidden details in the background.
