The GM Series of DC planetary gear motors is available in four frame sizes ranging from 1.5 to 4.2in diameter.

The GM Series of DC planetary gear motors is available in four frame sizes ranging from 1.5 to 4.2in diameter Equipped with low backlash, precision planetary gearing, the gear-motor combination boasts output torque ranging from 1.8inlb continuous, to 600Nm peak

Designed to provide ample torque in a compact and lightweight package, the GM Series features a novel metrically dimensioned, round, face-mounting configuration unlike that of many other gear-motors available.

Because of the planetary gear design, a wide range of ratios can be obtained in single, two and three stage gearbox designs.

The ratio selection begins at 2:1 all the way up to 450:1, to provide for significant speed reduction and greater mechanical (torque) advantage.

Output shaft speeds range from less than 1 to 3000rev/min.

Integrally assembled to compatible brushed DC motors, these units will accept DC input voltages of 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60V DC, and higher.

Current draw is, of course, dependent on the load, however this unique package offers smooth running, quiet DC motors, and planetary gear efficiencies of up to 95% in a single stage unit.

Gear backlash values are available as low as 6arc-min, also in a single stage unit.

The company offers a variety of standard options to accompany the gear-motors, including integrally mounted optical encoders, failsafe brakes, analogue tachometers, and a family of fully compatible single and multi-axis PWM servo amplifiers.
