Midwest Motion Products is doing its part to help save lives in Iraq.

The company has recently accepted a new high-volume order for one of its DC gearmotor designs that provides motion control for a unique "ordnance disposal robot" that is being deployed in Iraq and other locales worldwide.

The multiple-axis remote controlled robot is designed to secure any hazardous, dangerous or suspicious material and transport it to a safe location where it can be disarmed or destroyed.

The "twin tracked" robot is able to traverse nearly any terrain and is even capable of climbing stairs to execute it's mission.

The manufacturer of the robot is striving to meet the rapidly increasing demands of the US military.

The President of the robotic products company was recently quoted as saying: "We are shipping the robots to Iraq as quickly as we can build them".

"We have already shipped well over one hundred units, and our forecast for the balance of 2004 is to produce many hundreds more, of our latest robot design iteration".

The company expects significant long-term growth as the product is fully integrated into law enforcement, airport security and other national security, tactical and surveillance applications.
