A modular solid-state PWM switching device provides unidirectional DC motor speed control, and is ideal for any battery-powered application that requires adjustable speed of a DC motor or gear motor.

New from Midwest Motion Products, the MMP25A-48V is a modular solid-state PWM switching device that provides unidirectional DC motor speed control, and is ideal for any battery-powered application that requires adjustable speed of a DC motor or gear motor Able to deliver 25A continuous current at 48V DC, this compact (1 x 2 x 4.5in) control delivers the current required to power most brushed DC motors, by delivering 1200W of continuous output power

Now, with the latest design enhancement, this device is now capable of delivering up to 40A of peak (momentary) current, for a peak output power capacity of 1.9kW.

Input voltage range is 36 to 60V DC.

The design is fully encapsulated (potted) enabling it to meet the IP65 standard rating for resistance to the elements and harsh environments.

The outer casing is brushed aluminium, and two 6.35mm diameter through-holes are provided for easy mounting to any flat (heatsinking) surface.

A set of seven "quick connect" terminals is provided for connecting to power, motor leads, and a potentiometer, one of which is provided with each unit.

This design is also capable of accepting a 5-0V DC analogue command signal.

The MMP25A-48V, with its operational voltage range from 36 to 60V DC, has been designed for successful operation in numerous applications that include agricultural, fuel cell, sign motion, pop-up military training targets, power winches, robotics, portable tools and instruments, air moving devices, automated guided vehicles, ventilators, compressors, pumps, conveyors, hybrid electric vehicles, food processing, automotive and transportation industry, chemical feeders, pumps, gear motors, wire feeders, photo processing, paper processing, hose and cable take-up reels and vibratory feeders.
