Midwest Motion Products has released a new DC gear motor, the Model MMP-TM55-24V GP52-046.

Midwest Motion Products has released a new DC gear motor, the Model MMP-TM55-24V GP52-046.

Accepting any 24V DC source, including battery power, this robust gear motor measures just 54mm in diameter, by 184mm long, and has a keyed output shaft of 12mm diameter by 25mm long.

Easy mounting is accomplished with four "face mount" M5 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 40mm diameter BC.

The output of the gear motor is rated for 5.2Nm continuous torque, at 100rev/min, and 8.0Nm peak.

Despite its compact size and weight, the motor is an efficient design, requiring just 3.5A at 24V DC to generate its full load output torque.

Optional 12 and 36V windings are available.

This unique design is rated at an IP54 protection level for operation in harsh environments.

Samples are available from stock for rapid prototyping needs.

Typical options available with this servomotor include integral optical encoders, failsafe brakes, analogue tachometers and planetary gear heads, with standard ratios ranging from 3:1 to 450:1, with standard or low backlash precision gearing available.

The company offers a variety of standard ancillary equipment including multi-axis drive and control configurations, DC power supplies, DC servomotors and gear-motors.

Custom motor shaft and mounting configurations are also available.
