Midwest Motion Products has released a new DC gear motor, the Model MMP-S28-150C-24V GP81-014.

Midwest Motion Products has released a new DC gear motor, the Model MMP-S28-150C-24V GP81-014.

Accepting any 24V DC source, including battery power, this robust gear motor has a maximum diameter of just 81mm and is 216mm long, and has a keyed output shaft of 19mm diameter by 40mm long.

Easy mounting is accomplished with four "face mount" M6 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 65mm diameter BC.

The output of the gear motor is rated for 8.5Nm continuous torque, at 250rev/min, and 90.0Nm peak.

Despite its compact size and weight, the motor is an efficient design, requiring just 13.4A at 24V DC to generate its full load output torque.

Optional 12, 36 and 48V windings are available.

This unique design is rated at an IP54 protection level for operation in harsh environments.

Samples are available from stock for rapid prototyping needs.

A rear shaft extension to accommodate an encoder is offered standard on this product.

Typical options available with this servomotor include integral optical encoders, failsafe brakes, analogue tachometers, and planetary gearheads, with standard ratios ranging from 3:1 to 450:1, with standard or low backlash precision gearing available.
